Censorship Around the Globe

Censorship is something we experience every day. What we are allowed to see on TV, hear on the radio, what we can say in school. Here at English High, access to certain websites is restricted. I some contries like China, this is the norm for everyone. Artists in creaive fields...TV, music, video games have to wrestle with regulations and standards on what they can put out every day.

Different different cultures and parts of the world have different value systems. In the United States, profanity and sex is considered most dangerous, while violence is often glorified. Many other countries, such as Australia, are more lenient when it comes to language and sex, but draw a harder line with depictions of violence.

Read the following article about video game censorship in Australia and be prepared to participate in a class discussion. After the discussion, write a few sentences expressing your opinion in your blog.

Music is Life

To many teenager today, music is life. Use this entry to write about the importance of music in your life.
